Scientists Warn That Major Earth Systems On Track For Collapse

The AMOC is a massive ocean circulation system that transports heat and influences weather patterns across large regions. Recent research suggests that the rate at which warming occurs can affect the stability of this circulation. A rapid increase in forcing can destabilize the system at lower warming levels than a slower change in the model studied.

Other research has examined the possibility of long-term changes to Greenland and West Antarctica's ice sheets and the Amazon rainforest. These systems are interconnected, meaning changes in one part of the Earth system can influence conditions elsewhere.

Think about what that means for ordinary people.

Climate isn't just about temperature.

It affects food, water, agriculture, transportation, housing, insurance, infrastructure and economies.

When one major system becomes unstable, the consequences can eventually reach the kitchen table.

And that is where Christians need to start thinking differently.

End-Time Wisdom Is More Than Watching Prophecy

Christians often study Revelation looking for signs.

But biblical wisdom also asks:

“How should I live if the world around me becomes increasingly unstable?”

Jesus told His followers to watch and remain ready.

Proverbs 22:3 says:

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself.”

Preparation isn't unbelief.

Noah prepared before the flood.

Joseph prepared before the famine.

The wise virgins prepared before the bridegroom arrived.

The biblical pattern is clear:

Wisdom prepares before circumstances force preparation upon you.

Don't Put All Your Security in One System

If your household depends entirely on one paycheck, one bank, one source of food, one source of water, one transportation system, or one digital infrastructure, you have concentrated your vulnerability.

That doesn't mean abandoning modern society.

It means developing resilience.

Learn how to grow some food.

Learn how to preserve food.

Keep reasonable emergency supplies.

Know how to purify water.

Learn basic first aid.

Keep important documents accessible.

Have emergency lighting.

Maintain communication options.

Develop practical skills.

Build relationships with trustworthy people.

And strengthen your financial position so that one disruption doesn't immediately destroy your household.

The objective isn't to become paranoid.

The objective is to become prepared.
